“OCAD, as an art & design college in the 80’s, was an incredibly flexible and open learning environment. As one of a handful of female industrial design students, I was given a huge range of opportunities to see the creative process in all areas of society, far beyond the output of the studio. Upon graduating, that broad exposure gave me the confidence to penetrate the predominately male profession of industrial design, and nearly forty years later, what was seeded in design methodology training, is still flowering today. Never underestimate the impact of clear communication, no matter how subtle, regardless of medium or situation; the speed of transformation depends on it, OCADU students accelerate it.”
