This captivating exploration continued as I started questioning the notion of migration, adaption and roots while wondering about human life experiences with similar encounter and investigate the historical narration.”

Atkiya Raisa is a Bangladeshi artist who is intrigued by the process of mark making. Thinking of art as a process based work and building on various aspect of life, culture and experiences. She approaches traditional painting from a contemporary context with oil and acrylic media. Using natural dye and textiles she explores the boundaries of art.Since childhood she has always been keen towards artistic exploration and finally being able to choose a creative path was a dream come true. Learning something new, the process that goes in between the idea and the final piece, the challenges that comes with it, and solving it what excites her. Talking about her cultural identity, surreal and emotional responses are often themes of her work.
