Maria Victoria di Donato (she/her), better known as Vicky, is an author specialising in performative nonfiction, short non-fiction, poetry, and experimental prose. She has an English BA from TMU, and will complete her BFA in Creative Writing at OCADU in May 2025, presenting her thesis project novelette on immigrant experience and mentality at OCAD’s Grad-Ex. An active member of her community, she fills the role of Student Social Events Coordinator for the Creative Writing Program while working full time as a Competitive Gymnastics Coach at Scarborough Gym Elites. During Taylor Swift’s six shows in Toronto, she acted as Student Coordinator for the City of Toronto on “The TO Poets Department” Arts and Culture project under the mentorship of Toronto Poet Laureate and OCADU Professor, Lillian Allen. Recently, she hosted a special Friday Nights on the Mic: Inspiration Night! that brought together students with various poets and artists of different categories currently working in the industry over the magic of open mic.
