“The "Last Journey" is about a woman reminiscing her life while she is on a train to afterlife. In Korea, the train is said to be one of the transportations that guide souls to the beyond. Accordingly, the woman rides on the train, and her past life is shown from the outside of the train window. Different backgrounds suggest the different stages of her life that start from sadness but gradually become happier. The use of metaphor for train and the aesthetic of the film is inspired by the Ghibli studio’s films. I want to convey that there would have been points in life where there was joy and sorrow, and I hope the audience could relate to how some of the past memories remain good to them. ”
