Joseph Caiado is a Toronto-based 2D compositor and digital artist. He is currently working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting, with a specialization in animation. He focuses on the production and compositing processes entailed in the pipelines of both 2D and 3D animation. Joseph attributes a passion for 2D animation to his youth, which he spent exclusively watching animated series. His most recent favorite animated series include She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Disenchantment, and Centaurworld. Most recently Joseph worked on the animated short, ‘The Fall’ as a compositing artist. ‘The Fall’ has been selected for screenings in festivals including the Toronto Animation Arts Festival International 2022 (Toronto, CA); the New York International Children’s Film Festival 2022 (New York, US); the Animation Dingle 2022 (Ireland, UK) and the SPARK Animation Festival 2021 (Vancouver, CA).
