“Edouard Vallerand was born in Montreal, Quebec on the 9th of August 2003. His love of horror media, especially eldritch horror, comic books, and the occult, is the main inspiration for his work. The art that inspired him come from a diverse set of areas and mediums, from classical works, to general entertainment, to history.”
He is a graphic, bold and detailed illustrator specializing in a comic book style, with specialty in fantasy and occult creatures, characters and objects for authors, games designers and art directors. The graphic style of his work draws the viewer into grim dark fantasy environments that morbidly intrigues the viewer. I’m inspired by occult and esotericism, gothic imagery, horror of many kinds, and gothic qualities, incorporating them in my work to tell dark stories, creating moody worlds that inspire a grim curiosity.
