“Design as a Living OrganismIn the ever-evolving field of industrial design, technology and Design Language have continuously shifted. What remains constant, however, is that design functions much like an ecosystem, and that a designer's products, services, and systems are, at their core, living organisms.Michael Joongmin Park focuses on the systemic function of design and on the strategies, inquiries, and values that shape design solutions for the near future. His work centers on redefining the relationships between existing causalities and data, investigating what fundamentally allows design to exist, and formulating strategies for how emerging designs and technologies can enter the markets of tomorrow. The OnGen Radio project was an exploration of hypothetical media, built upon AR as Context and LLMs as Engine. By reimagining radio, a legacy medium, under the premise that AR becomes widely adopted, the project examined how future media might exist and reach people. It stands both as a new systemic proposition and as a proposal for a new form of interaction design that can be directly applied to services already present in today's market.”
