“I exist at the edge of disclosure—between longing and restraint, what is felt and withheld; a desire to be seen, and the instinct to retreat. I return to a hushed question: how much of myself can I offer without disappearing? What remains when I am not imagined by others? This is a practice of nearing, a love letter to the self I am learning to hold—a quiet devotion, a soft unfolding that resists completion. I invite you close, but only enough to feel presence. What lingers is partial: a trace, a residue. I am learning to remain, to keep something for myself. My work inhabits a quiet tension between presence and distance. Rooted in observed moments and personal photographs, I render fragments through cropped compositions and shifts in scale that draw the viewer near without fully resolving what is seen. Light, surface, and small gestures—a flicker, a mark, a pause—act as carriers of presence, holding what cannot be fully articulated. Influenced by ideas of autonomy, mature love, and attentive perception, my work moves along thresholds where intimacy hovers just out of reach. I am interested in how an image can hold closeness without collapse, inviting a slower gaze that resists certainty and leaves space for what remains unresolved. ”
