Before working in Graphic Design, I was a Front-of-House audio engineer. There is a unique similarity between that job and the job of a Graphic Designer: when done well, an outside onlooker hardly notices it — I look for that. When everything clicks, and it just seems as if it always was. That's a lasting feeling. For Designers in a hyper-digital 2021, I think the clean, bold approach works very well. Messages need to be delivered fast, and images need to last. Graphic Design, in the right hands, is a tool to create lasting bonds between object and sense.
