Sebastián Rodríguez y Vasti is a Toronto-based artist. His practice engages issues oflanguage, memory, migration and politics, and his interest in these subjects stems from theimpact of Venezuela’s ongoing mass migration on himself and his loved ones. He hasapproached these subjects through bronze sculpting, video, poetry, performance, virtualreality and photography. Through his work, he seeks to hopefully play his part in thecollective processes of endurance and healing that face many within and outside of hiscommunity.
