Repurposed Fabric and Acrylic Paint

This painting is a self reflection on how to take accountability for your actions and grow from your experiences. I am constantly growing and learning. I decide to mix textiles and paint together to create a dialogue between natural and synthetic. The acrylic paint is plastic binding while the textiles are repurposed cotton. These materials are not similar and clash when referring to their values. Being a sustainable artist is hard in a society that is obsessed with fast fashion and fast food, which creates enormous amounts of waste.
