Clair-Obscur.A deafening silence befalls the land. The lights shine from the windows only to disappear into the darkness. Out of reach, but not out of mind.

“Finding inspiration from Scottish castles and black and white films, this series encapsulates the fight between light and dark. There are fortifying structures beyond our very reach. Up on hills, through arches and gateways, there are abandoned spaces. All rotting away, or engulfed in the darkness, the living qualities seem to peak through. The birds and the gleam from the windows draw us into where we may never escape. Warmth and comfort are a long way away. Whatever will the darkness bring? Look closer at the details and you might just fall in. ”
