Psychedelic 2020 Typeface Design

Psychedelic 2020 is a typeface inspired by 19th century psychedelic art and the groovy typography that emerged from it. Psychedelic art followed the 1960s counter-culture movement and is visually presented with kaleidoscopic and spiral patterns, bright colours, concentric circles, motif repetition, surrealist subject matter and highly stylized typography. It was heavily influenced by the art and design of fin-de-siecle and early 20th century Europe; specifically, the movements of Art Nouveau, Vienna Secession, and Surrealism. This display typeface is to live on concert posters, album covers, book covers, packaging design and as headings for editorial pieces.
