Fraying

There is a part of me that’s longing for a past version of myself that I won’t get to be again. This work explores mapping as a way to reminisce and look back on memories from childhood. It experiments with the transformation of archival imagery transferred onto various surfaces. The images become faded, ripped and frayed mirroring memory itself.
