“Through animated embroidery, I explore my diasporic identity and my Palestinian heritage. I disseminated criticalities through combining the digital with the handmade in order to create a narrative that tie aspects of my cultural heritage Traditional Palestinian motifs known as “tatreez” are incorporated onto stretched Aida. By documenting the back side of the hoop, I expose what is commonly hidden, narrating a different view, the side in which expresses a chaotic, yet growing and adaptive individual in diaspora.”
