A direct and delicate transfer of a familial collaboration from the early 2000s, 'An Elephant Never Forgets' holds a special place in my thesis presentation, honouring my grandmother.

“'An Elephant Never Forgets' is a direct transfer of a collaboration between my paternal grandmother (drawing) and I (text), created in the early 2000s. An antique collector, family historian, "crafty lady," and talented artist, Joan Brown’s legacy continues to inspire me long after her passing in 2018. With the inclusion of this archive, I create a space for my grandmother, allowing her to be present at the culmination of my visual art studies.”
