Landmark —— Markham

The location I have chosen is Mile Dam Conservation Park in Markham, situated near HWY 7 and McCowan Rd, close to CF Markville. During my visit, I conducted interviews with locals and discovered that many regular visitors were unaware of this natural park's existence.

“Through my design, I aim to raise awareness of this expansive green space, enhance Markham’s environmental landscape, and create a welcoming, beneficial environment for park-goers. Additionally, I plan to establish a new visitor center, providing a place for families to gather and enjoy on weekends. This center will offer various programs, allowing families to spend a full day experiencing different seasonal activities, taking home gifts and photos as mementos of their visit. The entire site will be environmentally friendly and green.”
