“The animated embroidery reflects my diasporic belonging, digitally combining Palestinian tatreez with personal images which occupy fabrics stretched on an embroidery hoop. Transnational experiences depict the loss and celebration of my Palestinian heritage. The colonial practice of embroidery questions women's prescribed roles which covers portions of the image. I disseminated criticalities through the inclusion of Palestinian tatreez and the hijab providing a surface for these narratives.”
