A double exposed film photograph from a triptych titled"Tenyethinonhwerá:ton’ ne Ohonte’shón:’a.Tenyethinonhwerá:ton’ ne Ohtera’shón:’a.Tenyethinonhwerá:ton’ ne Karonta’okón:’a."(translation: We give thanks to the grasses. We give thanks to the roots. We give thanks to the trees.)

“The city of Toronto is a very developed city with characteristics that can be seen as both amazing, and alienating. The concrete plastered all around and the buildings that cut through the sky are two aspects of the city that contribute to the difficulty I have connecting with the land here. Despite these attributes acting asa barrier between the land and myself, I know I can look past them to find elements that are still present. Elements which I can connect to, acknowledge, and thank: the grasses, the roots, and the trees.”
