Moulting
Sculpture
This project aims to moult off layers of façade and persona, to form a safe cocoon with space to grow into. These masks are both utilitarian and performance. By replacing aspects of your body with a prosthetic, you get the chance to become a metaphorical hermit crab. While I cannot physically shed large swathes of my own flesh however much I long for it, I can give my own inner masking a rest by wearing the moult of someone else.
