Accessible Typography

Graphic Design
2023
This project was undertaken with the aim of exploring the potential benefits of accessible typography for individuals with dyslexia. Through a comprehensive research process, I analyzed the design characteristics that aid in reading comprehension and evaluated fonts that have been specifically created to enhance accessibility.I designed customized fonts that incorporate these characteristics to provide improved support for individuals with dyslexia. The starting point for this font design was the popular Open Sans font, which was adjusted to align with the identified characteristics and ultimately led to the development of a new and innovative font. The primary objective of this project was to make a significant contribution to the field of accessible typography and its potential to assist individuals with dyslexia in their reading experiences.
