Love Letters

This image interprets the story of Harry and Jacquie, who were separated by the war and only communicated through handwritten letters for four years. Her letters served as Harry’s motivation to keep fighting during the war, and he strongly believes that they were the reason he was able to survive and return back home to her.

““Love Conquers All” explores the paradox of love blooming during war. This series of images emphasize the visual poetry that comes forward as a result of placing elements of love and war in juxtaposition. Stories of love thriving in a time of war are visually interpreted to explore the resilience of love and the need for love to conquer hate to preserve our humanity.”
