Why can't we be happy?
“This painting is a celebration of fun. As adults, we seem to lose our sense of humour and playfulness. We rob ourselves of so much joy for the sake of appearing mature and "grown up". Being loud or silly is labelled as cringe by people who take life too seriously. Combining sculpture and painting, "Ode to Joy" features two strange looking figures shamelessly laughing together. ”
