Introducing CanWork: A digital platform dedicated to empowering Canadian newcomers in the healthcare industry by bridging the underemployment gap. We understand the unique hurdles faced by skilled immigrants, such as unrecognized credentials and insufficient local work experience. CanWork is here to change that. Canwork's mission is to facilitate newcomers' transition into the Canadian job market by offering rewarding opportunities in the healthcare sector. This is achieved through customized job recommendations, strategic partnerships with resettlement agencies, and dynamic upskilling programs tailored to each individual's needs. CanWork aims to create a brighter future for both newcomers and the Canadian healthcare industry as we harness the potential of skilled immigrants and provide them with the tools they need to thrive in their new home.

“As a designer, my vision for the CanWork project was inspired by the untapped potential and resilience of skilled newcomers entering the job market. I recognized the underemployment gap as a pressing issue that demanded an innovative solution, and I felt compelled to create a platform that would address this challenge head-on. CanWork seeks to foster a sense of belonging, boost confidence, and promote professional growth for all newcomers. It is my belief that by empowering these individuals, we not only enrich the Canadian healthcare industry but also contribute to building a more inclusive, diverse, and prosperous society.”
