17-year-old Rus is enrolled in a boarding school he’s never heard of for his last year of secondary school following an accident involving his cousin and father the spring before. Rus’s roommate, a boy named Ron acts as a guide to his new surroundings.After meeting Yang, the school’s golden boy, Rus can’t help but gravitate towards him. Even after receiving multiple warnings about Yang, Rus’s crush just won’t go away.Will Rus rise to the occasion, or will he fall hard?

“Wax Wings is a modern retelling of the story of Icarus, personifying the sun and the ocean as the main love interest, Yang. This story has many references to Greek Mythology and Ancient Greek stories in a modern, fictional, boarding school in Southern Ontario.
