Arbor Vitae Hospice Care

This project proposes the creation of "The Tree of Life Hospice," aiming to provide comfort and tranquility for patients nearing the end of life. It seeks to utilize nature as a healing tool, incorporating architectural forms that symbolize the cyclical journey of life. The hospice, designed in a circular form, aims to embrace and protect patients and their families while guiding them towards a connection with nature. Named the "Arbor Vitae Hospice," it envisions itself as a sanctuary of serene stillness, seamlessly integrating the calming influence of nature into its essence. Grounded in the concept of 'connection,' it draws inspiration from the surrounding environment to foster an atmosphere of calm acceptance. By immersing the hospice in nature, the project aims to offer inner peace to patients during their final moments.

“Arbor Vitae Tranquil Care Facility is poised to redefine the concept of hospice care by offering patients and their families a homely environment within private dwellings. This innovative approach seeks to transcend the traditional hospital setting, providing a sense of familiarity and comfort to those in their final stages of life. The architectural design of the facility is envisioned as an embrace, encasing patients and their families in a protective cocoon of care and support.Central to the project's vision is the creation of a bold juxtaposition between the natural world and the built environment. Rather than being confined within sterile hospital walls, patients will find themselves surrounded by elements reminiscent of home, fostering a sense of warmth and belonging. The facility aims to blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, seamlessly integrating nature into its design to create a harmonious living space that promotes healing and tranquility.By offering private dwellings, Arbor Vitae Tranquil Care Facility acknowledges the individuality and dignity of each patient, allowing them to maintain a sense of autonomy and privacy during their stay. This personalized approach extends to family members as well, ensuring that they feel welcomed and supported throughout their loved ones final journey.”
