“Created in March 2020, this piece captures the feelings of chaos felt during the first weeks of the Covid-19 pandemic. This work connected me more deeply to the artists of the Dada and Surrealist movements. It showed me the turmoil required to make absurdity your visual language. As we’ve moved further from the beginning of the pandemic, and people have less and less interest in acknowledging the pandemic has not ended, that sense of absurdity has become stronger. ”
