Part of an ongoing series of paintings on plexiglass, Disembodied Dance explores factors that lead to a fragmented identity, and in one feeling fragmented or disembodied. The painting depicts floating bodies on a spiritual path towards alignment. The narrative is speckled with symbols and motifs that reference my childhood home in Pakistan where I grew up.
