“The animated embroidery reflects my diasporic belonging, referencing personal images in order to create abstract embroidered narratives onto the fabric stretched on an embroidery hoop. The animated Gifs bring the pieces to life, by documenting the process, combining the digital and the tactile, it allows my work to exist in both spaces.”
