Decolonial love

The concept for this project is centered around identity and Indigeneity. Working within the genre of self portraiture, my aims for this project are to share internal struggles and the journey of navigating identity as a mixed heritage Indigenous woman. The storytelling throughout this series illustrates the survivance of Indigenous traditions and culture, and visualizes how I am turning towards nurturing my relationship with myself. The process, and the project itself, is decolonial practice, as I decolonize my mind and reconnect to culture.*This series is in progress*
