“ I made mirror objects which have uneven surface and captured my distorted images in them for painting. I found myself in a constantly shaken and bizarre state represented through the distortion created by these mirrors. That was the unconscious identification with the distorted images and my psychological experience going through the world. By showing my unstable and vulnerable state, I intend to form some empathy by facing an unstable and vulnerable human being through my work, as all people are. Distortion in my work is not only a real situation full of difficulties or hardships that shake and frustrate human consciousness and inner self countless times. But it also refers to the psychological confusion and conflict that all humans experience. As a result, difficult-to-recognize images depict human beings' insecurity in their difficult existence, but they also signal that humans should not abandon their responsibilities and subjective approach towards a better future.”
