The term “Gold Star” although it can be used jokingly, is exclusionary and deems those that don’t fit in “contaminated”. This illustration depicts a relationship between two women, one that is a “gold star” and one that isn’t, and how this term ultimately means nothing and that your worth as a lesbian isn’t based on your past.
