“As someone who was born and raised in east Asia the word serenity has always been an important aspect of our society. I had to return home from Toronto to Hong Kong during the 2 years of covid, it was quite a shook at first as I've been away from home for long time, an honest tug of war between the east and the west. From a perspective of a semi-outsider It gave me a chance to explore what the word serenity really means and how does it affect the portraits I take.”
