Through repetitive imagery and thoughtful fragmentation, 'Imagination (dance)' emphasizes the sensation of embodying the 'main character' when reflecting on childhood archives.
“My figure repeats in a sequence of movements captured during presentation week at dance lessons. As an adult living with chronic pain, my current identity is intrinsically linked to this passion through my increasingly complex relationship with movement. This photo was taken from a parental perspective; my childhood self is showcased through my drawing of a ballet barre, which playfully interrupts the figure. The shadows behind do not align with the moving figure; the lingering yet absent identifying traits of my peers allow the body to highlight the sensation of embodying the 'main character’ when reflecting on childhood memories. ”
