Tambour Cabinet

With this project I explored the construction techniques involved in a cabinet with a tambour door. The door is essentially many wooden slats that are backed by a piece of canvas. Which allows it to turn on round corners. A track is then routed in the interior top and bottom of the case for the slats to slide along. Which ends up creating this sliding door effect. Since there are many coordinated parts within this type of construction precision is a very important component.
