BackgroundIn recent years, rapid urban development in Chinahas led to a massive migration from rural areas tourban areas. As a result, the rural population hasbecome seriously hollowed out, and some ruraleconomies have fallen into overall decline andwithering, and even some villages have fade awaywith the loss of population.IntentTo develop rural culture, the necessar yinfrastructure is the first step. The project aimsto provide a comfortable living environmentand is characterized by an architectural designthat attracts some city dwellers to live here toalleviate the hollowing out of the populationand promote cultural exchange.ConceptGet inspired by nature and find the rhythmhidden between the mountains. And integratethis dynamic beauty into the architecture.
“Focusing on the topography of Shankou, Hubei China, this work explores the relationship between architecture and nature, while intimately focusing on the social significance of architectural forms and examining whether architectural design can slow down the rate of hollowing out of China's rural population. ”
