'What If?' : Typography

This project was done in Experimental Typography class. The purpose of this project was to experiment 78 different typefaces with a chosen letter.Therefore, I decided to explore the different typefaces through letter J. The reason why I chose J is because my last name starts with letter J. I have a firm faith in my design which is modernism, simplicity, and continuity. I love exploring design with simple geometric shapes with limited colours.The theme of this project is the Object Observation.Throughout the 78 days, I observed objects and things around me. During the observation, I was very fascinated by how diverse object were shaped. Even though they are same objects, they are seen in various perspectives when observed through different angles. I questioned myself, what if J looks like this object? That is why the name of the project is ‘What If’.There is 13 different types of themes ; Ribbon, Lines, Heavy Rain, Embryo, Socks, Rusted Iron, Paper Fold, Bathroom, Straws, Sounds (Music), Signature, Geometrical shape, and Random shape.
