03 Nesting Bed
Installation
2022
Found animal bones, bird's nest, shells, glass, plant matter in printer's drawer.
16.5"x32". Specimen dimensions variable.
An installation that injects object symbolism into specimen presentation.
“In Nesting Box I highlight the poetics of object symbolism by recontextualizing specimen display. The platform of a drawer is deployed once again to evoke associations with museum archives, while symbolism is used to comment on the nature of time.”
