Lichen studies

This series inspired me to create my thesis animation. My first love is painting so I used my old materials to create abstract studies of the moss and lichen I found on trees and rocks. I became obsessed with the colours and layers which lead me to discover the species of lichen that I collected in different areas of Ontario.
