The last of three self-portraits, this painting represents my future self. It reflects a more permanent state of being, in which I am self-assured and at peace with myself. I have mustered the courage to stay afloat and to live the life I want to live, on my own terms, choosing to no longer allow cultural expectations to dictate who I want to be.
