I have been working on a personal collection of digital illustrations since the midpoint of the pandemic. Through these illustrations, I wanted to express the feelings of confusion circulating around the world during this time; how all the days started to blend together, how nothing felt real, and how everything felt like it was at a standstill but moving fast at the same time. I wanted to highlight these contradictions in my work through beauty and discomfort, motion and being frozen in time, as the most prominent, my introduction and use of texture to digital illustration, a medium typically synonymous with clean lines and smooth rendering.
