Women & HIV/AIDS Initiative #16 Days of Activism Campaign

The Brief: Create the concept and collateral for WHAI's annual #16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, with the theme "Ending Femicide".

“The campaign was designed with an emphasis on strength & community, in line with the idea of a strengths-based view of women and femme folks taking their safety back. The designs are warm and feel both courageous and nurturing, making space to speak about gender-based violence and femicide in non-triggering ways. Hand-drawn illustrations in a loose, flowing style give a softness and humanized look to a campaign focused on support and care. The addition of animations into posts evokes the action in activism and the energy and change we hoped to see come from the campaign. The stacking of text and illustrations evokes the sense of community support and building up of collective action. Intertwined figures with WHAI’s brand-centered floral imagery is symbolic of the growth and support for women that comes from the surrounding WHAI community.*Follow link for full case study*”
