This painting imitates the movement of a waterfall through mark-making, application of pigment, and differentiation in values. Through the sense of soft motion, the viewer is meant to feel at ease and relaxed, visualizing, and hearing the movement of the falls. By use of a small colour scheme, the mimicry of falls results from movement, colour and space.
