The "Pineal Land" is a series of illustrations that explores the concept of human perception and imagination of the world beyond our physical reality. Through the pineal gland, the illustrations invite viewers to contemplate the existence of a world that exists outside the boundaries of accepted reality. The themes of spirituality, mystery, and the unknown are interwoven into the illustrations, inviting viewers to engage with the concept of an alternate reality beyond our own.
“In this illustration series called "Pineal Land," I have imagined another dimension that we can glimpse through the pineal gland. This subject investigates how people see and imagine the world. It is uncertain whether other dimensions and spaces that are beyond our level of sight, as well as the spiritual world of humans, actually exist. The way we understand science is limited to the material world that we can detect with our physical eyes and the tools obtained from it. I have included my own imagination in the illustrations, allowing people to 'see' into the unknown through the pineal gland while incorporating philosophical elements and scientific theories to show a treacherous world. The project's purpose is to provoke the viewer's thoughts and resonance. It illustrates people's dread of the unknown and their need to know by presenting a potential macrocosm.”
