Certain values in today's society have been distorted in ways that affect the entire society. Because pleasure and recreation dominate modern life, the primary determinants of success are now material possessions and wealth, disregarding other significant principles. Value distortion can cause social splits, a decline in interpersonal trust, and difficulties in achieving cooperation and unity.
