Upon finding a dying baby rabbit, we kept this gentle stranger warm and comfortable until its passing. We took the time and care to build a makeshift casket out of a tea box lined with plush fabric, and laid the rabbit to rest, placing a freshly plucked wildflower by its side. We dug into the wet April Earth to bury the casket, the flower, the rabbit. Great tenderness, care, and love is infused into funerary processions. We wrap our dead loved ones in soft cloth and flowers, we bury and cremate with great precision and care, we bring flowers to gravesites and scatter ashes in gardens for the sake of the one who has died. What does all of this love do?
