NEBULA

NEBULA is my final film for my Advanced Animation Studio 2 course. Before pre-production, we were provided with a collection of music that could serve as a soundtrack and as inspiration for our films. I chose Daniel Birch's "Microorganisms on Earth". I decided to set my film in space, because the track builds very slowly but reaches a monumental crescendo, which I feel parallels the way space can be empty and also contain majestic celestial bodies. The track also influenced the theme of my film; that the day-to-day toils of being alive in the modern (or in this case, future) world can often isolate us and cause us to forget that we are part of a much bigger, and beautiful, whole.
