In Defense of the Poor Image

Graphic Design
2019
This work was inspired by Andy Warhol's "Silver Liz as Cleopatra". The original intention of my print work was to show the diminishing quality of the images through each converting and coping and pasting. In particular, it reflects the ethical issues of online piracy and screenshots. The original image is this high res PDF of an artical, but a pirated version or a screenshot is equivalent to a print plate made from random, cheap materials, through which a low-quality pirated image is created.
