Acrylic on Raw Canvas, Typewriter, Rats' Nest, Baseboards, Vintage Storybook.
The framed ‘transitional objects’(Winnicott,1971),the typewriter, rats nest, baseboards, vintage storybook, act as thematic signifiers that were organically scavenged for the installation. The painting acts as a tapestry of consciousness meant to resemble a domestic artifact; a personable entity in the painting's nature of accumulation. The canvas exists as a malleable domestic artifact like a bandage, blanket, or apron—one that is vulnerable with its ability to achieve damage or wear and tear.
