Ghost SNES Controller

Fabrication
2022
Clear Acrylic, Crafter's Foam
A Super Nintendo Controller design laser cut out of clear acrylic, manually assembled and polished. Blueprints were made in Adobe Illustrator. The buttons are pushable due to the resistance afforded by the crafter's foam placed in the crevices.

“Tasked with creating the likeness of an everyday object, I decided to go for something close to my roots in gaming. I have always been mesmerized by transparent controllers, with all the wires visible in a stained plastic casing, but I wondered what it would be like to have a controller that had no wires or reasonable method of giving input, but still felt like it worked. This was the result of trying to answer that curiosity.”
